So it has been an exciting week of applying the information that I have obtained over the years in classes and from reading articles on the web. Even though i have technically been employed with Harrah’s Entertainment at horseshoe in Hammond for two weeks now. I finished orientation last week and really got to dive into the it department this week. I have had the chance to talk to many different people and just alone in my department I have talked with the techs, engineers, Lan administrator, managers and the regional director. I have fallen on to a great opportunity because of the horseshoe opening there new casino in August, i have got to work with both new and aging technology and learn much that a classroom would never be able to teach me. I think a lot about doing things ethically and properly so I do not mess up and loose some big transaction. I am looking forward to the upcoming weeks and hopefully when my internship is over I can stay on as a full time employee.
Many possibilities are begining to open up to me and can not wait to see what awaits my career.
